Why are MSN and SKYPE the best inventions of this decade- her version

About a month ago I met this great guy… smart, funny, careing and all the rest of the package. Actually he found me, but that is a whole different story. The only problem was that although he is very mature, he is almost 2 years younger then I am. Kidding!! Who cares about that – I like them young, when they still want to make a difference in this world (I hope this guy sticks with it!!!!).

The real big problem is that he lives 14,187km away. Now 13,000km I could deal with, but over 14,000????!!!!!! That is insane!

It’s not that I didn’t appreciate MSN and Skype before, after all it’s the best way for me to skip elegantly between 4-5 different conversations, talk on the phone, write papers and take an occasional bite from a sandwich all at the same time … which means I get the chance to prove to the world every single day that women can do multiple things at the same time (not that any man has ever challenged that …).

Now that he is back there and I am still here, MSN is actually, in some distorted way, our romance playground. I say something cute he sends me a (F), before we go to sleep I send him a (K). We remind each other how much we miss one another- He does it by sending a (L), I do it with a simple :’(

We talk so much more now, since every second sentence I say on the microphone he can’t hear clearly and needs repeating. Also, my humor tends to be at times somewhat incomprehensible which causes interesting debates on the topic of: What did she mean?

To sum it up I would say…if you’re really going through with it, make sure the guy/girl is totally worth it… I think this one is :)
